Klatch on to Coffee
Klatch Coffee is nestled on the corner of PCH and Torrance Blvd in Redondo Beach, CA. This prime location is perfect for beach goers or locals looking for a cute spot to grab a coffee or a sweet treat.
The interior of Klatch is crisp and white with pops of color. Along the walls of the store are bars with high colorful chairs. They also have long tables, perfect for customers hoping to grab a cup and work on their laptops (and yes, Babes, they have WIFI).
Upon arriving at Klatch, I was immediately intrigued by their menu. In particular, the taps behind the counter caught my eye. Turns out that Klatch makes their own “Capp on Tap,” which is a cold brew concentrate with low fat milk. After trying a sample, I decided it was a MUST. The heat was record high in LA that day so I definitely wanted to try a multitude of icey cold drinks. I decided to get their cold brew as well as an iced chai tea latte. But, for the sake of variety, I opted for one hot drink: a cinnamon vanilla latte (worth it).
The barista suggested I pair my drinks with either a Cappuccini Chip muffin or a Kouign Amann. So naturally, I got both (hey, you only live once!). I had no idea what a Kouign Amann was, but it looked delicious. Turns out the The Kouign-Amann, which is pronounced like "queen ahh-mawn,” is a cross between a croissant and a palmier. The inside reminded me of a croissant with its buttery layers, but the outside had the qualities of a palmier. It was shaped like a crown too, which made its name easier to remember.
My favorite drink was the perfectly creamy and not-too-sweet “Capp on tap.” I would recommend this to any Babe who is curious to try cold brew but a bit scared it will be too strong for them. The hot cinnamon vanilla latte, despite the heat, was also a personal fave. It even featured a lovely design in the foam (my favorite part of hot lattes!), and the cinnamon and vanilla were a perfect pair. It was like Christmas in a cup.
Klatch features their own roast coffee throughout the store and show their pride in their green farming. Thank you Klatch Coffee for having me!
